This site is put together by a group of Hopefield residents, working alongside the West Coast Environmental Protection Association (WCEPA). It is not run by the developer, the municipality or any political party, and it is not funded by anyone. The information here is drawn from public documents — the developer's own reports, the responses from government bodies, and news coverage.
Hierdie webwerf word saamgestel deur 'n groep Hopefield-inwoners, saam met die Weskus Omgewingsbeskermingsvereniging (WCEPA). Dit word nie deur die ontwikkelaar, die munisipaliteit of enige politieke party bestuur nie, en dit word deur niemand befonds nie. Die inligting hier kom uit openbare dokumente — die ontwikkelaar se eie verslae, die reaksies van staatsliggame, en nuusdekking.
The aim is simple: that everyone in the town can find out what is going on and have a real say in it — not just the people who make it to meetings.

The solar farm's Final Scoping Report was released on 8 September 2026. Written comments go to the consultant, percy@ecocompliance.co.za, by 8 October 2026. Printed copies are at the Hopefield, Saldanha and Langebaan public libraries. "Final" means the consultant has finished this scoping-stage report — it is not the end of the process; a fuller study stage, with another comment round, still follows.
Die sonplaas se Finale Bestekverslag is op 8 September 2026 vrygestel. Skriftelike kommentaar gaan na die konsultant, percy@ecocompliance.co.za, teen 8 Oktober 2026. Gedrukte afskrifte is by die Hopefield-, Saldanha- en Langebaan-biblioteke.
